Would-be graduates visit Cardiac Centre

This year’s Boiko School would-be graduates visited the Cardiac Centre of the Kharkiv Institute of General and Emergency Surgery within the ‘Listen to Your Heart’ programme. The children met the surgeons of the centre and watched them work. The ‘Listen to Your Heart’ programme is a charity initiative of Boiko School. The idea of the programme is that the would-be graduates collect the money that would normally be spent on a school graduation party, and give this money to the Kharkiv Institute of General and Emergency Surgery Cardiac Centre. The money is then spent on super complex and expensive heart surgeries on infants and pre-school children.
It is the second year in a row when the would-be graduates sacrifice their graduation party in order to help save children’s lives. We are proud of this mature and generous attitude of our kids!
